Like mother, like son.

Salam.

Yesterday I had a 5km running event which was organised by my fellow friends. It was actually Karnival Sukan Wanita 2011. I never had any running event since I came back from the UK and up until now, everything I did does paid off.

I never had any intention to win since I jog everyday for the sake of loving it. Let me start on how I develop the interest in jogging.

In my school years, I never excel in any kind of sports. Seriously. Every sports that I got involved in puts me at an average level. Be it hockey, badminton or even rugby. In my secondary schooling, I realised that I jog a lot. Be it to school, from school, skipping school....erm...let's skip that part.

The reason that I love jogging is because it keeps me stress-free. Compared to running events such as cross-country, 3000m steeplechase, you will suffer some kind of stress but not jogging. Because you don't have to win in jogging. You just have to do it.

And for my mom, she's the champion. Seriously. No joke. My mom was like OMG! She runs so fast and she frequently won in most long-distance events. Not to mention she also hold records for some events. Don't compare it now. Last time she was twice as thin as me. It's like me being cut in half.

I guess the gene does go down to the family. My dad have the accuracy in sports but not speed while my mom has raw speed and her fields doesn't really need accuracy. My older sister is a sprinter, and my youngest sister is a genius in sports. My first young sister are not really into sports but she's very clever. Not just that, she wrote novels and short stories at 16! I bet she wrote more than I ever had in my life.

Let's get back to the story. In yesterday's event, I got third place. Alhamdulillah. In front of me were two other students from IPSAH and IPKB. They were fast. Not to mention both of them are SIPMA runners for MSIPGM. I have no strategy other than to follow them. And I made it.

Thanks for everyone who have been very supportive. I appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Mak, abang anak mak kan? :P

I guess that's all for now. Thanks for reading.

Salam.
